Amazing finds at the Country Living Fair

Sharing a recap from the wonderful time I had visiting the Country Living Fair last June.  It was my first formal invite to attend an event in the capacity of a Hometalk Blogger and I was thrilled for the chance to share my finds with my favorite magazine  ~ Country Living.

I attended the Country Living Fair in Rhinebeck, NY with my amazing mother Sandie and my sweet sweet 8-year old daughter Evarista "Evey". They are my partners in crime and my best girls...it was a true girls day...

*** Note: My little entrepreneurial daughter handed out 50+ of her own business cards that I had made for her. The cards state her name and title as "Design Assistant for The Unique Nest"...boy can that girl network!!! She must have spoken to every person at the fair and collected more business cards from vendors than you can imagine!

Meeting Some Incredible Women

In addition to the incredible antiques and creations for sale (which I'll share in a moment) - I had the opportunity to meet some pretty amazing women doing pretty amazing things. Here are some photos of the people I was fortunate enough to meet at the fair...

Unfortunately, I didn't get to meet the amazingly talented ladies from Tilton Fenwick but I did get to listen to them speak about their selections for the Country Living Home of the Year (which is pictured below)...

While I love my ladies...I'd be leaving out a HUGE part of the excitement from my day ~ meeting my favorite artist of all time...the one and only...Will Moses

The Finds (Oohhh the finds!)

Exhibiting self control is quite difficult at these events. You could probably tell yourself that you NEED just about everything you see. However, the real fun (for me of course) is sifting through the wares of all the vendors and trying to find that diamond in the rough. The piece that you can feel good about for years to come. And folks, I'm here to tell ya, there was plenty to feel good about this year...check out some of my picks (and pics) from this year's Rhinebeck fair...

If only...

There were more hours in the day, I would list every single vendor and credit every person I met at this wonderful event. It's my sincere goal to sort through all the business cards and flyers I collected last weekend and give credit where it's due...but for now I just had to share these amazing photos with you.

I hope that you were able to feel the energy of the day through this post and that if you've not visited the Country Living Fair before, you'd consider going next time around. The artisans and creative minds that travel to these fairs are such unique people and it was great getting to meet them and hear their stories...
