Fixer Upper Inspiration

Industrial/Country Dining Room Design

Two days of being snowed-in with a record breaking nor'easter in Upstate New York during mid-March does things to you. Expensive things. Like - making me design and purchase an entirely new dining table, chairs, lighting and decor.
Like so many of you I am a big fan of Chip & Joanna. My eye has always been drawn to their designs and to the various looks they have created (cottage, coastal, farmhouse, industrial, modern, etc.) The way they are able to infuse various styles into one uniform space is what I love most. So when it came to finding some inspiration for reimagining my dining room set, it's no surprise that the photo I kept going back to on Pinterest was that of a Fixer Upper episode titled: "A very special house in the country". Here is the inspiration photo:
For years I've loved the trestle table by Restoration Hardware. But life as an educator with messy kids, pets and a tight budget have kept me from purchasing it (the cost is roughly $3,000). That's until I found almost the same exact table at a local furniture store called Old Brick in Albany, NY. A company named Jofran Inc. sells theirs for $650 (WOO HOO!!!).
So - let's get down to the important stuff. Here is my source list, linked and ready to go!!!
Trestle Table by Jofran Inc.

Cross-back Chairs from Wayfair

Windsor-back Chairs from Wayfair

Edison Bulb Industrial Chandelier from Wayfair
Black villa striped napkins from World Market

Scallop Dishes from Target

Galvanized Buckets from Houzz
Artificial Freesia from JoAnn Fabric
Hoping you love this look as much as I do. I'll be sharing photos of my dining room before/after once everything arrives and is setup. Should be another two weeks for the table to arrive but I'm super excited! Stay tuned...
