Late Winter / early spring inspired dining decor
{whites, pewter & peat moss}
The transition from the holiday season to the Spring is one I look forward to every year. For me, it is a time of tranquility and reflection. A time to put away all of the "clutter" (mentally and physically) that can accompany the hustle and bustle of the holidays, and focus on the peace and clarity that comes with those late winter months.
By nature my eye is drawn to monochromatic, neutral design palettes. My husband calls it boring, I call it brilliant. I always tell him that someday we will have a home comprised of 'whites and creams'. Living in the northeast, mother nature brings us late winter months where the ground in clad in snow and the sky is often a muted gray. The trees are bare with the exception of nearby pine forests. In the transitional months of March and April, when the snow begins to melt and the ground cover is once again exposed, greens and browns become once again visible. The surrounding colors of life in upstate New York has brought me to select this beautiful collection of inspirational tablescapes for what I like to refer to as a 'transitional time' in our annual calendar.
The mix of whites, pewter and peat moss is stunning and simple. A timeless look that is perfect for those late winter months and will look great in any home and on any
table. Below are some of my favorite looks and designs that inspire me. Take a look...
