muted inspiration this holiday season
The traditional 'red and green' colors of Christmas were all I knew as a child. Bright colored lights and bold decor was the holiday standard in not only my home, but mostly every home I visited. As I grew older I was drawn to the simplicity of the season. Wreaths on a front door, twigs in a basket, galvanized pots with small frasier fir trees and nothing else. In a season of hustle and bustle, the black and white palette of Christmas is not only beautiful, it's comforting.
I've set out to select some inspirational photos that capture the look and feel I'm referencing in hopes of gifting you that same feeling of calm. In my own home this season I opted for lots of silver and gold with black and white backgrounds and accents (

Beautiful imagery right? How is your holiday season decorating going? I'd love to hear from you and see your home too! Feel free to share a photo with me at theuniquenest@gmail.com or any of my social media accounts. Take care friends and God bless! XO - Laura
