Creating simple holiday wall art in minutes!
I'm often the worst when it comes to decorating for a small holiday like Valentine's Day. It is such a short-lived event that it sneaks up on me and I'm always ill-prepared when it comes to decorating the house.
So - in true DIY fashion I went around the house and scrounged up some craft paper, twine and a chicken wire wall hanging that I bought last year at The Country Living Fair. While at Target last week I bought a couple of items from their dollar bins (I love their dollar bins don't you) --- gold alphabet stickers, a roll of wrapping paper with red abstract shapes, a heart chalk ornament and some chalk tags.
All in all, here are the supplies that went into this little project...
To start, I lined the back of the wall hanging in the wrapping paper from Target. Then, I used the stickers to put all my family member's names on the craft paper cut-outs. To tie them I used red and white twin that I had in my craft box.
Using a chalk pen and the chalk board tags I wrote "LOVE" and hung each one using a miniature clothespin...
How can you not love dollar bin items. I love the way you took and displayed them so cute on your chicken wire board. Adorable!!
